Explore Cylinder Recycling Programs

Our cylinder recycling program, which launches in 2025, is the first of its kind and serves as a model for an efficient, industry-led product stewardship program. As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation expands in the U.S., Cylinder Collective will represent the pressurized cylinder industry to plan and operate recycling programs in states that pass stewardship laws.

Here are the current programs being offered and the participating brands.

Overview

In June 2023, Vermont passed the nation's first Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) EPR law. Household hazardous waste consists of products that require special handling once consumers are done using them, such as cleaning fluids, varnish, paint removers, fuel additives, and gas cylinders. The Cylinder Collective is developing plans to support cylinder recycling in the state. Check back here for updates.
